you cannot teach your daughter to do one thing by you yourself doing another.

you would only be advising, suggesting, hoping, but you would not be teaching and embedding in her a true sense of what you're saying.

you cannot devote your life to a man, food, novela, alcohol, ciggarettes, addiction

and then teach your daughter discipline.

you cannot sacrifice yourself and then expect your daughter to achieve (hell have) her own dream.

you are teaching and creating what you are doing.

i'm sorry if that isn't what you want to hear.

but the truth is we cannot create the change we want to see in our daughters

our sons, our family, our communities, our state, our country,

the world

until we are able to become it.
